These pumpkin Salt Dough Ornaments were fun for both my kids and myself to make. I mean what kid doesn’t like to get their hands dirty? From mixing and kneading the dough, pressing hands into the dough and painting them. this craft was a hit with both of my kids.
We put up our Christmas tree for Halloween this year and made it a Halloween tree so I turned Hearts Pumpkin Salt Dough Handprints into a hanging ornament (pictured above). Jewels’ was a little heavier so it became mantle decor.
You can actually make the shape into anything you want and paint it other colors to make these for any time of year. And don’t stop there. You can do footprints as well. Just make sure the plaque shape you make is big enough for the child’s foot or hands.
