Heart is the type who will play more on her own in her room while also loving play time with her sister. Quarantine has made everyday feel like the same day is repeating over and over. Luckily my kids have each other and love to play with their toys creating make believe stories and building the next tallest tower for their Lego people.
Most toys they haven’t wanted to touch, or it’s the usual play with a few times and they are done. Although, there are some toys Heart just loves to play with all the time and especially during Quarantine. Here are some of those toys:
Heart loves playing with her Frozen II as she calls them “Castle Toys” because she plays with them with her Disney Castle. She will sit for hours doing character role play and setting them up everywhere she goes. With Frozen II still being high on her top 5 movies, she will sit and watch the movie but have to have her “Purple Elsa” with her. She calls the Elsa with the purple dress, “Purple Elsa”.
The Nintendo Switch is Nintendo s latest (and greatest) video game system. While it doesn’t pack the same punch as the new Xbox Series X or Playstation 5 that the older kids might prefer, the Switch is perfect for the younger kids aged 3-12. It offers the perfect blend of games from fun party games like Super Mario Party to adventure games like Super Mario Odyssey to racing games like Mario Kart 8 to nostalgia games like the original Super Mario Bros. (Okay…so there are a lot of Mario games).
Heart gets so excited when she can play Animal Crossing on her Nintendo Switch with Dad. She dresses her own character and at 3 years old, follows along with her sister as they all play the game together.
This is the perfect sized Lego set for the girls. With the mix of colors, and booklet of things to build it keeps them busy for hours. The box is also super cute and can hold additional Lego’s you have lying around the house. Check out this fun DIY Lego table too!
The LeapFrog Leaptop has helped both Jewels and Heart learn their ABC’s and letters. Heart first walked around singing the ABC song after playing with this toy for a few days. The songs can easily get stuck in their heads which is a great way for them to learn.
