These corn dog muffins have only 5 ingredients and are a piece of cake to make with kids. This recipe is so easy, kids can mix the ingredients themselves!
If you’ve taken a look around our website, you will see we are huge fans of muffins. Although, most of our muffins have been dessert muffins, such as the pumpkin crumb muffins and chocolate chip muffins, these are good to have for lunch or dinner.
Corn Dog Muffins are made with cornbread mix. You can buy any store brand box, usually 15oz. Any milk will work, we used 2% but you can use anything if you don’t mind the taste changed a bit. Hot dogs can be any flavor. We used chicken and pork in ours but any flavor you like should taste just as good. Feel free to experiment with different cheeses. We found that sharp cheddar cheese works best for us but if there is another cheese you like, try it out.
Storage and Refrigerating
Storing: Store any leftover muffins in an airtight container and then put them in the refrigerator. Since there is meat in these, you will not want to leave them out at room temperature. You can warm them up for under a minute when you are ready to eat them.
