"A Dream is A Wish Your Heart Makes"
If you are anything like us, you have been dreaming about a time when this pandemic is finally over and you can plan a good old fashioned Griswold family vacation (minus Aunt Edna). Well, that time is just about here. With vaccination rates up and Covid cases down, it’s just a matter of weeks before cruising ramps back up to full speed ahead. Do you know what is even more exciting? The Disney Wish is now booking! Starting today, you can book your dream vacation on Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, premiering in July 2022.

The Disney Wish is truly a remarkable feat of engineering combined with Disney Imagination (hence where they get the term, Imagineer). With a length of 1,119 feet, a height of 221 feet, and weighing about 144,000 gross tons, the Disney Wish will be the largest ship in the Disney fleet.
In addition to all of the fun and entertainment that Disney boasts on its other ships, the Disney Wish will also include many new exciting adventures. First, there is the AquaMouse, the very first “attraction at sea.” Next, there is a Star Wars themed area called Hyperspace Lounge (which becomes a 21 and over bar in the evenings). The Disney Wish will also boast two movie theaters, instead of only one on the other ships in the fleet. Also, there will be an expanded kids club with all of your kid’s favorite Marvel characters and Disney princesses (and complete with a slide into the club directly from the grand hall).

Dinner Performance is Like No Other
A Disney Cruise is not complete without their state-of-the-art dinner shows. Luckily, the Disney Wish has three brand new experiences. First up is Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure, which will extend the storyline of Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf in a one-of-a-kind dinner performance that is only possible with the magic of Disney (and some hidden fiber optics).

Worlds of Marvel
Next up is Worlds of Marvel, which will feature a show involving the Avengers and food powered by Pym Tech. Expect to see some oversized food items similar to that in Avengers Campus at Disney’s California Adventure. Do we really need an excuse to eat bigger portions on a cruise ship?

Upscale Dining Experiences
Finally, there is 1923, a classic Hollywood upscale dining experience that references the year that the Walt Disney Company was founded. This one sounds like it will be close to a Club 33 experience.

As with all Disney Cruise Dining, you will visit a different dining room each night on rotation and your wait staff will follow you along for that personalized touch of magic. There will also be a separate buffet and 24 hour room service. After all, no Disney Cruise is complete without being able to order a Mickey ice cream bar at any time.
For Adults only upscale dining, guests will have two options for an additional fee. Palo Steakhouse will be themed around Cogsworth from Beauty and the Beast and will offer the best steaks from around the world. Enchanté will be themed around Lumiere from the same film and will offer French-inspired cuisine.

Adult Only Spaces
In addition to these adults only spaces, you will also find the Quiet Cove pool area and lounge for guests 18 and over. As with the other ships in the fleet, the Senses Spa and Fitness Center will offer massages, acupuncture, aromatherapy, and other specialized treatments.

Broadway Entertainment
For Entertainment, there will be three new Broadway style shows, including a newly reimagined Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular. The other two shows have not been announced yet, but we will update this article once they are announced. These shows will take place in the Walt Disney Theater.

Magical Staterooms
Finally, if you have a little extra money to burn, you can book the 2-story concierge suite. This suite is actually located in the front funnel of the ship (all of the Disney ships have one fake funnel for aesthetics, since most modern cruise ships only require one funnel). But with three bedrooms and a convertible room that can double as a bedroom, this suite can accommodate up to 8 people and will only set you back about $40,000.
